Live Teaching
We are very proud to be working with the DfE as one of their Ed Teach Demonstrator schools, helping upskill colleagues in other schools in the delivery of live teaching. Any children at home isolating, with a positive PCR test but feeling fit and well are able to access our daily live teaching streams. We use Microsoft Teams to dial children into live sessions with their class teachers on a daily basis. As a minimum, children in Years 2 to 6 will be online throughout the morning session for their core learning. They then dial in again after lunch before completing independent afternoon learning activities. Children in EYFS & Year 1 will also dial in for extensive dailiy live teaching but with a more flexible approach suited to their age group. We take pride in our ambition to 'dissolve the screen' to provide equity in learning for those in class and at home. Any parents struggling to access our online learning should contact our Deputy Head Teacher, Mr Jackson-Taylor:

This excellent work was also recognised with an official visit from the DfE Covid Response Team in November 2020.
